When Product Check is the right level
Product Check is intended for an existing label that needs to be checked against one current source of product information.
Choose it when the main question is whether the label is complete and consistent with that source. Cases involving several documents or a wider product dossier fit Product Assessment or Product Review.

What QSP reviews
QSP reviews the label and compares relevant declarations with the single supporting document supplied. Depending on the information available, the comparison can cover:
- product identity and description;
- ingredients and allergen information;
- nutrition information and claims;
- storage conditions and instructions for use;
- other declarations appearing in both the label and supporting document;
- formal label completeness for the intended target market;
- visible omissions, contradictions or mismatches between the two files.
Only points supported by the label and the one accepted source can be checked. If the source does not contain the information needed, the point remains missing or not verified.
What you provide
Please provide:
- one current label or artwork version;
- one current product specification or technical document;
- the intended target market;
- an editable version of the label where available, if you want supported corrections processed directly into it.
If the review requires a second supporting document, Product Assessment is the correct level.
Evidence-based method
What QSP does
QSP compares the two supplied files and records factual observations within the accepted scope. Each relevant point is treated as an observation, missing information, an inconsistency, not verified or not assessed.
Where the supporting document establishes the correct information and the supplied format permits it, QSP may process practical corrections directly into the editable label. QSP does not fill a gap when the correct fact is absent from the evidence.
What you receive
You receive:
- a concise written Product Check report;
- a clear record of observations, missing information and inconsistencies;
- identification of points that could not be verified or fall outside scope;
- supported corrections in your supplied editable material where possible;
- one follow-up/revision verification within the original scope.
The report distinguishes supported information, inconsistencies and open points across the two supplied files.

The base price covers one existing label, one supporting specification or technical document and one target market.
- Additional Product Checks within the same agreed scope: €39 each.
- Upgrade from Label Check: €20.
- Further revision rounds after the included verification: €19 per label.
- Larger batches are handled by agreement.
Additional evidence, materially changed product information or a different target market may require a new assignment or a higher product level.

Move to Product Assessment when two or three supporting documents must be considered, the documents must be assessed together, the question requires evidence status or the gap cannot be understood from the label and one accepted source.
Product Check identifies a gap within two supplied files; Product Assessment evaluates it across a wider evidence set.

Which supporting document should I submit?
Submit the current specification or technical document that best supports the information on the label. If several documents are needed to answer the question, use Product Assessment.
What happens when the label and supporting document conflict?
QSP records the inconsistency and, where the supporting evidence establishes the correct information, may process a supported correction into supplied editable material. QSP does not choose or invent a fact that the evidence does not establish.
When does the 24-hour turnaround start?
The turnaround starts after QSP has confirmed that the label, supporting document and other required input are complete.
What is included in the revision?
One follow-up/revision verification is included within the original scope. Additional documents, materially changed information or a different target market can require a new assignment or Product Assessment.
