Choose Product Assessment when

Your question depends on up to three supporting documents and you need an evidence-based assessment rather than a simple label-to-document comparison.

The full product dossier must be reviewed as one connected evidence set, or the work cannot be contained within three supporting documents and selected assessment areas.

Best fit

When Product Assessment is the right level

Product Assessment is intended for a product where the main evidence is available, but the information is spread across several sources or may contain gaps and inconsistencies.

It is suitable when you need to understand whether selected product information is supported by the supplied evidence. It provides more depth than Product Check without becoming a full-dossier review.

Scope and input

One label. Up to three sources. Selected assessment areas.

What QSP reviews

QSP reviews the label and up to three supporting documents against the agreed assessment basis for one target market. Relevant assessment areas can include:

  • product identity and composition;
  • ingredients, allergens and additives;
  • label and consumer information;
  • nutrition information and claims;
  • analyses or stated product criteria;
  • process and intended use;
  • storage conditions and shelf life;
  • packaging or food-contact information;
  • consistency between the supplied sources.

Only the areas and documents accepted for the assignment are assessed. The presence of a topic in this list does not mean that it is automatically included or verifiable in every Product Assessment.

What you provide

Please provide:

  • one current label or artwork version;
  • up to three current supporting documents relevant to the assessment purpose;
  • the intended target market;
  • a brief explanation of the decision or question the assessment should support;
  • editable material where available if practical corrections may be appropriate.

Supporting material may include a product specification, ingredient or raw-material information, an analysis report, a process description, packaging information or food-contact documentation. The intake determines which three documents are most relevant.

Evidence-based method

What QSP does

QSP defines the accepted assessment areas and links each relevant point to the evidence actually reviewed. The available information is treated using clear evidence statuses: substantiated, partially substantiated, not substantiated, inconsistent, not verified or outside scope.

QSP may clarify information within the accepted scope where agreed. Missing facts are not invented. If evaluating a gap requires additional evidence sources or a wider dossier review, the work moves to Product Review. Actively obtaining or creating evidence, or conducting extensive third-party correspondence, requires separately scoped support.

What you receive

You receive a structured Product Assessment report containing:

  • the accepted purpose and scope;
  • product identification and the documents actually reviewed;
  • an evidence-based assessment of the agreed areas;
  • the status and source of each relevant finding;
  • missing, conflicting or non-verifiable information;
  • a requirement and source register where applicable;
  • recorded limitations and matters outside scope;
  • clear practical next steps arising from the documented gaps or findings.

Where the agreed scope, evidence and supplied editable format support a practical correction, QSP may process it directly into the material. Correction is secondary to the assessment and does not include creating missing product facts or rebuilding final artwork.

From evidence set to assessment

Fixed price

Price and scope

€129excl. VAT

The base price covers one product, one label, up to three supporting documents, agreed assessment areas and one target market.

    The intake confirms whether the submitted files and question fit this fixed scope. Additional documents, materially expanded assessment areas or another target market require Product Review or separate scope confirmation.

    Next level

    When to move to Product Review

    Move to Product Review when the work requires the full product dossier or more than three supporting documents, connected evidence types, cross-document dependencies or a comprehensive basis for the intended product decision.

    Product Assessment identifies and evaluates gaps within a selected evidence set. Product Review examines how the complete agreed dossier works together.

    Practical questions

    Frequently asked questions

    Which three supporting documents should I provide?

    Provide an overview during the free intake. QSP will identify which documents are most relevant to the assessment purpose before the scope is accepted.

    Are all product areas automatically included?

    No. The assessed areas depend on the accepted purpose, the selected documents and the information those documents contain. Anything not included or not verifiable is recorded as a limitation or outside scope.

    What happens when information is missing or conflicting?

    QSP records the evidence status and explains the limitation or conflict. A gap can be identified and evaluated within the supplied evidence, but QSP does not invent the missing fact. Reviewing a wider supplied dossier requires Product Review; actively obtaining new evidence requires separate support.

    Can QSP process corrections into my label?

    Yes, where the accepted scope and evidence support the correction and suitable editable material is supplied. Missing content or broader artwork work can be scoped separately.

    How long does Product Assessment take?

    Timing is confirmed after the scope and complete input have been accepted. The 24-hour Check turnaround does not apply.
